the maths summit
The UK’s first Maths Summit took place on 12 March 2024 at the Science Museum in London. This groundbreaking event convened policymakers, businesses, and academics to discuss how the mathematical sciences can better contribute to research, innovation and prosperity.
Organised by CaMS, the summit brought together the whole mathematical sciences community, with supported from the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences, the Council for the Mathematical Sciences and the UK’s five mathematical learned societies.
Hosted by Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, the summit had an impressive array of speakers, including leading politicians and public figures, as well as leaders working across research and industry:
