CaMS research cited in the Financial Times

Ewan Kirk, Chair of the Isaac Newton Institute's Management Committee, cited CaMS research in his article for the FT published today.

With investment in AI datacentres numbering into the trillions and the UK Government eager to position the country as a global leader in the technology, maths is notably absent from the conversation, he writes. Ewan is the Deeptech Labs Chair and founder of Cantab Capital Partners.

Ewan argues that the mathematical sciences are neglected as the field foundational to this world-changing technology.

He warns that without building out the UK’s intellectual and technical capabilities in maths, the UK risks missing a generational chance to be a driving force for future AI innovation.
